All About Frontline EHS
Frontline offers two integrated modules, Management of Change (MOC) and Action Tracking (ACT), that leverage the basic structure of the base module - the Learning Management System. Taken together, they comprise key components of Frontline's EHS Suite, designed to enhance safety, productivity and compliance in heavily regulated manufacturing and engineering / construction companies. All Frontline functionality, for administrators, authors and learners alike, is accessible through a standard web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
Key areas of integration are:
- All modules use same web address, allowing a user to complete all tasks with single login.
- People information: People information such as name, user ID, active / inactive periods, e-mail address, job title, person's company, division and account are shared between all modules.
- System Desktop: All modules feature standard personalized system desktop interface that allows easy access to training assignments as well as task assignments from integrated modules. For example, if you are assigned a MOC task such as approving a MOC, a MOC tab will appear next to the training tab. If you are assigned an action item that resulted from an incident report, a new tab action items will allow you to view details of the action item and the event (incident report) that generated it. System Desktop is referred to as Frontline desktop or TM desktop in this manual.
Just as you can complete assigned training from the desktop training tab, you can complete MOC tasks or action items from corresponding tabs.
People system codes: This centralized functionality controls who has access to administration and reporting tasks in LMS, MOC and ACT.
People access permissions: Single form allows you to grant admin and / or report access permissions for all modules in different companies, divisions and accounts.
E-mail notification system: Manages e-mail notifications resulting not only from LMS but also from MOC and ACT. Just like training assignments, you are notified if a new MOC task or a new action item shows up on your system desktop.
Seamless integration of training assignment resulting from MOC and ACT via training item types MOC and ACT. For example, notifying people about a change (MOC) is handled in the same manner as routine training, and a record is kept.
No new special content is required for MOC or ACT training item assignment, as the comprehensive MOC and the ACT summary pages are treated as content.
All modules have consistent company, division and account hierarchical management structure.
All modules have same system menu structure, making the administration very consistent.
All modules have same custom and summary report types.

Frontline is a web-based enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) that is designed to manage training for all employees and contractors. The training can be job or product-specific, or it can be generic training in categories such as safety, environment, quality, human resources or information technology. Any training can be on-line, or managed via off-line events such as classroom training.
Frontline's LMS module has a powerful training and testing assignment engine that runs on curriculum designed for all employees. Training and testing are assigned to an individual's Frontline desktop using a schedule based on the individual's pre-defined curriculum. E-mail messages are sent out to notify individuals of upcoming or overdue training. When employees complete training, Frontline monitors the validity period of training and automatically reassigns retraining. The entire process is completely automated and designed to delegate the training responsibility to employee level.
Powerful people, security and curriculum features allow you to manage training for several thousand employees in a centralized or distributed environment. Customizable management reports allow you to monitor the process down to the desired detail. Once configured and running, exception reports can assure the smooth functioning of the entire process.
Authoring features allow you to use your existing documents as on-line training content, or to create new on-line web-based courses and tests for any training content. Extensive class management features are also available for instructor-led training. You can also address off-line external training and certification events.

Frontline Data Solutions' Management of Change (MOC) application is a web-based collaboration and workflow software designed to systematically manage changes in process chemicals, technology, equipment, facilities, or procedures. It significantly reduces the administrative overhead of assigning, tracking, reporting and following-up on approvals, tasks, checklists, action items and training required to implement changes in regulated and non-regulated processes in an enterprise environment.

About Frontline Data Solutions Action Tracking System (ACT)
Frontline Data Solutions' Action Tracking (ACT) module is a feature-rich web-based event and action item tracking and management software that allows you to track process and operation events and action items in your organization. Events such as incidents, accidents, near-misses, audits, inspections, self-assessments, PHAs, customer complaints, meetings, etc, can be documented, along with follow-up action items that can be assigned and tracked to completion.
To document events, the application allows you to create custom reusable online event forms that can then be routed to people in your organization for investigation, comments, approvals and development of corrective and preventive action items. Online forms can be attached to selected action items also to facilitate effective analysis and implementation. The event can be closed out when all attached action items are completed, and people notified about the event. Action items from events are assigned to people or roles (job titles) with e-mail reminders; assignees can enter progress, complete any attached form, transfer to others, attach documentary evidence, send to verifier, or close it out.
You can also assign and track non-event based action items, such as regulatory compliance inspections which often are recurring. For each recurrence, you can require assignees to complete an online form or checklist, and document deficiencies with additional action items. The ACT module is designed to also track and manage all action items from the integrated Management of Change (MOC) module. Action items can be imported from other action item generating software, such as Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) applications, via custom software interfaces. This allows you to consolidate all action items in the ACT module.
